In a little more than 10 years, international students at the University of Toledo has doubled from less than 1000 students to 2000 students! There are more than 75 different nationalities represented.
GO-UT (Global Opportunities at the University of Toledo) is a collaborative partner with Water for Ishmael to better serve the international communities in Toledo. Many of those international students come with little knowledge of American culture and can only bring the essentials to survive. This coupled with a lack of confidence and knowledge in English leaves Water for Ishmael and GO-UT with tremendous opportunities to serve the international students who will most likely make Toledo their home for at least a couple years.
